VENICE HERITAGE MUSEUM
Role: Creative Director, Branding, Exhibition Design, Curation, Programming
As Creative Director for the Venice Heritage Museum, I helped shape the museum's public identity from the ground up—developing its brand, designing exhibitions, creating promotional campaigns, and curating experiences that connect the community with Venice's rich cultural history.
I led the branding of the museum and designed its inaugural exhibition at its permanent home in Venice, California, creating a flexible visual system that continues to support future exhibitions and programming.
Beyond the gallery, I conceived, curated, branded, designed, promoted, produced, and emceed three sold-out Venice Heritage Film Festivals, transforming archival films, oral histories, and historic photography into immersive community experiences. From programming and visual identity to marketing, event design, and live presentation, I helped build the festivals into signature cultural events celebrating more than a century of Venice history.
The festivals featured collaborations with the UCLA Film & Television Archive, Venice Arts, Venice Institute of Contemporary Art, Sherman Library & Gardens, the Venice Heritage Museum Oral History Project, and community storytellers including Harry Perry and Joan Huff.
The museum's work has been featured by the Los Angeles Times and The Argonaut, highlighting the role of design, storytelling, and community engagement in preserving Venice's cultural heritage.
